I've done the unthinkable.  I've installed Ubuntu on my secondary laptop.  I never thought I would go the way of the trendy, but the time has come.  Sure....it's probably bloated versus a distro like Gentoo, but man.....the ease of install was like a breath of fresh air after beating the crap out of my last Gentoo install.  The worst part is......I'm liking the complete package.  It's pretty.

diet update

Here is an update with some screenshots for the diet I've been running. So far I'm about 24 pounds done in about 5 or 6 weeks. As you can see from the Calories Consumed page, I've started running all over the place in terms of my intake. It's been a nutty several weeks around my house and I hope things will settle done enough for me to get things under some notion of control. On a bit of a side note, even though my calories are all over the place, at the beginning of the diet my goal was to limit myself to 1800 calories cutting from 500 to 800 calories (I think....it might have been even larger than that) from my daily intake. My average over all of this has been 1810/day.
