Active Directory Project Update

This is getting easier.  We just moved over our Underwriting department and it went flawlessly.  The only issue I saw was an over zealous employee.  We are instituting our new password policy and she picked I think a 30 character password.  Hope she can memorize it.
All of the easy departments are over and now I have to start picking which of the hard ones left I want to do.

Hello Kitty

This is a pretty cool article that discussing rainbow hash cracking.  The comment thread however was much more insightful.  Oh yeah and don't forget it has ponies.

Active Directory Project Update

I just finished a move of the executive offices.  It went a lot smoother than our sales department for one reason.  I wimped out and made the user local administrators.  It's not like I didn't try to make it work.  I was sitting at the first machine for about 2 1/2 hours trying to make all of the various programs work that they use up there (third floor).  The secretary was giving me all of these nervous looks like I was operating on her kids.  Seeing that I was running out of time, I bit the bullet and elevated her permissions.  Of course, this fixed everything and I was able to move on.  I'll have to address this issue later.

vacation

Just got back from a mini-vacation with my better half.  We dropped the kids off with my sister-in-law and boogied on down to Yorba Linda........I know your saying, what the heck is in Yorba Linda.  Randy Travis is what was in Yorba Linda.  We went and saw one of his inspirational concerts which really wasn't half bad.  The man is actually a very good entertainer.  What else was in Yorba Linda you say.....the heat.  It was about 113 degrees all weekend long. It was hotter than Africa hot.
We finished up the weekend by stopping off at Knott's Berry Farm and eating some "famous fried chicken" which was some of the best I've ever had.  All in all, a weekend with no responsibilities and a little fun thrown in was what the doctor called for.
